Public Health Ministry raises Covid-19 alert level to 4 (out of 5 levels)

Thailand’s Covid-19 alert stage is raised from three to 4… The highest degree is 5 with the most stringent measures suggested to prevent the spread of the virus. The Public Health Ministry raised the level following the uptick in coronavirus circumstances, in addition to infections involving the Omicron variant, following the New Year vacation.
The level 4 preventative measures embody asking residents to avoid eating or drinking at eating places, visiting “risky” venues, and travelling, particularly on public transportation. The ministry is encouraging folks to work at home and added that some businesses and venues that have a high threat of Covid-19 transmission could need to be closed.
Along with working towards the common preventative measures, like sporting face masks and social distancing, Thai authorities are encouraging the public to get vaccinated and take at-home Covid-19 checks frequently, particularly those that just lately travelled for the holiday.
In a press briefing, Public Health Permanent Secretary Kiattibhoom Vongrachit said…

“I want to urge folks, who recently returned from other provinces, to closely monitor their well being for at least 14 days, and it will be great if they might work from home.”
