Amarinth has completed a US$1.5 million order from Armada Madura for six API 610 VS4 vertical pumps for a brand new FPSO being built for India’s Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC).

Two of the six API 610 VS4 pumps are pour level depressant pumps that are 18m in length and the other four are methanol carry pumps which would possibly be 10m lengthy.
All of the pumps have PT100 temperature sensors which have been designed and constructed alongside the size of the pumps to watch the temperature of every bearing individually.
The 18m lengthy pumps incorporate a supporting system of brackets that Amarinth has designed which attaches each pump to its tank during installation guaranteeing that as the pump is lowered into the tank it stays perfectly aligned, lowering vibration and wear throughout operation.
Once assembled, the pumps have been independently witness tested and licensed by DNV at Amarinth’s facility in Rendlesham, UK. The pumps have been then disassembled into 3m segments and shipped to Singapore where the FPSO (floating manufacturing storage and offloading unit) is being built.

Because of the size of the pumps, they had to be put in into the vessel’s tanks through the deck before one other deck above the pumps could presumably be built. The FPSO will be positioned in the KG-DWN 98/2 subject, approximately 22 km off the east coast of Kakinada, India. The vessel is designed to supply as much as 90 000 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) and have a 1.3-million-barrel storage facility. It shall be equipped to deal with the monsoon circumstances prevalent at the field.
